Hello! I am in dire need of some advice. I have been dating my boyfriend for 8 years now, live together 7, and I think it's time to end things. Our relationship unfortunately started off with a lot of drama, his ex gf, but now we are fine. So fine that there is 0 passion. We are polar opposites but for some reason I love him.

I have NEVER cheated on him, I haven't had any romantic feelings towards another man either. Well, until recently. I met a guy through a friend of a friend and he was the most handsome charming funny guy I have err met! And he asked me out on a date! I politely declined but then started evaluating my relationship. He doesn't want kids, I do (we're both 30) he doesn't want to get married, I do. We never have sex anymore. It's like a roommate situation. The thing that sucks is that he works nights and weekends and I almost feel guilty if we separated because how would he did someone else? Our relationship is ok now, there are no highs or lows. He doesn't like traveling or going out, which I do and he never says no or gets jealous. I feel like we're floating along. I don't know what to do

Oh just do it. Well, get yourself sorted out in practical terms first and then just do it. You ask the right and reasonable questions and then say it wouldn't be fair, somehow. But he is a grown man, he's had his opportunity to step up to the mark but either he is unwilling or unable. What you ain't is his mother, counsellor or social worker. You ain't qualified in any event.

The question I have for you is "Are you just making excuses for you"? That's what I suspect. Do you want to confess? You do know what to do, you just don't want to have to do it. That's okay but you still have to do it.

Well, if you want marriage and kids and he doesn't... I guess that means you won't be happy in the long run. I'm on the opposite side of the fence. I'm a woman, but I don't want marriage or kids. I wouldn't want to date a guy who wanted kids because I'm not going to give him any. I don't want to deny him of what he wants to be happy. If your bf is denying you of what would make you happiest, I think it's time to go.

Hmmm a man who don't want to pass on his genes. Maybe you aren't suitable with him. Time to find a new and improve seed.
