She's a Starbucks barista I go there twice a week. I gave her a note saying that I thought she was cute and that I would like to get to know her and my phone number. a week later she was working the cash register and she explained that she was with someone.i left it at that then the next time I go she asked me what do I do meaning work or school and I told her I got to school. Bottom line might she still be interested and what should I say if I see her again.

Yeah, pursue her. Why not?

You can also pursue other women at the same time...

She has a BF. Not worth it IMO.

"Have you broken up with your boyfriend yet?"

Wrong analysis. The bottom line is that she's with someone.

Next time you see her you say "skinny latte please".

This is a respect issue(I know, respect is dead these days).

Respect the fact that she's taken. I work by plenty of fine girls, that I'd like. Most are taken, enough said.

Would you like for someone to steal your girl from you?

I'm not going to encourage you to be selfish, and do bad. No, I will encourage you not to do something bad: don't do it.

Jerry Seinfeld went after a married woman and got her. Just tell her you're worth $2 billion.

You should consider this a dead end, done deal. If she asks you questions or engages conversation, be polite and go along but don't pursue her in any way.

I have a small impression that maybe she is flattered by your interest, makes her feel good about herself, but don't mistaken that as a sign that she wants you to pursue.

And put yourself in her boyfriend's shoes. If you were him how would you feel about this? Not good at all, I bet. So don't do anything that you wouldn't want a guy doing if it was your girlfriend.

Addressing the OP's initial question: NO.

If she was interested she wouldn't have told you she had a BF.

Even if you "win" her. All you've done is hooked up with a untrustworthy girl. Emphasis on girl ;)

Faint of heart never won fair maiden

During my dating days if I met a woman that I was attracted to, I immediately assumed she had a bf. I also assumed that someday he would make a mistake, so in the mean time, I did my best to get to know her and make myself as interesting as possible for the day when he screwed up.

No, it didn't always work, but over time I had many successes.

I am currently living with the love of my life, we have been together for 17 plus years, and I took her away from a Steven Segal look alike she was living with. It took 2 plus years of waiting but he eventually made a mistake.

This probably won't sound "ethical"...but I think unless there is a marriage and/or kids involved...all's fair on love and war.

I "stole" a girl from her bf (who she even lived with) before and even though it didn't work out between us, we had the best sex of our lives (at least up to that point for me) and she went on to marry the next guy she ended up with.

My current wife didn't care that I had a gf when she hit on me the first time around. She knew what she wanted, and she went for it.

If you're really happy in your relationship, then you wouldn't cheat in the first place. Of course, I draw the line with kids and marriage because that can get very messy.

Dude, she's not even interested in you. She told you point blank that she has a boyfriend, and then changed the topic to school. Morality aside, don't you think there are other options for you to pursue than the barista you barely know who told you she's taken?

NO! She isnt interested. You gave her your number and she NEVER called you, then when you saw her a week later, she told you she was taken. End of story. NO. Stop it!

She isnt interested in you just because she asked you what you do. She was being nice and making conversation with you. Not every woman who speaks to a man is trying to get with him.

At first she was working the graveyard shift. Long and boring. I got lucky and the night we met, with the first words I ever said to her I got her to crack up. To this day she still thinks that I am funny.

When we met she was just about to turn 40 and had a knock out figure. Working pretty much alone most of the night she had lots of dogs coming by nightly trying to get a date. I worked nights and the first thing after leaving work was to buy a cold drink. And even though I passed her store every night, I did not always stop in. And when I did I did my best to make her laugh. As she later said she looked forward to me coming in.

I always looked her in the eye when we talked, as she hated the dogs who kept coming in and talking to her boobs.

On the nights I did stop I didn't hang around trying to make time, just a few words and went on my way. I set out to get to know her. We did not become friends, but rather associates, and we could talk as people. I would ask, "Did you do anything exciting over the weekend?" Sometimes she in turn would ask about mine. In that way we got to know each other, and I was able to make her see me as interesting.

Attitude - Always keep a positive attitude. Life is an adventure. Love life and live it. Make her wish she too had an exciting life.

I also had a girl friend who lived out of state, when she came over to visit, we accidently bumped into each other. I have learned if a woman sees you with another woman, it does not always make her jealous, but subtly says you are an OK guy.

With the passage of time, I learned that she had always wanted to try shooting pool, but never had. She liked fast driving, but had never been to a race.

She was a dog person, had two dogs. She didn't like beer, but did like mixed drinks, especially margaritas and pina coladas. She liked county music over rock.

I never dogged her boy friend. That would have been a slap in the face, in short saying she had poor taste in men.

Then I waited until I had my chance. First date, shooting pool. Second date, a ride out to the river. Third date to the local half mile track to watch the stock cars run, then down into the pits to meet the drivers and she even got to sit in a race car.

To all those naysayers. You give up too quickly.

It isn't everyday that you meet someone with a face you could kiss good morning to every day for the rest of your life. When you do meet her, go after her, so what if you get shot down.

And yes, I got shot down many times, but if you don't try you have already lost.

When I was 27, other than puppy love I had never been in love. Then I met this gal and it was love at first glance. The problem was she knew she was good looking and was dating not one but two guys, both of them a lot better off financially than I was. In a 10 week period I must have asked her out close to a half a dozen times. To fancy restaurants, to the circus, Fleetwood Mac had just came out with their Rumours album and were on tour, I got tickets, but so did her boy friend. In the end she flat told me I was too short, 5' 6" and she liked her men to be 6 footers, too poor, she only dated guys in suits, and I am a T-shirt and blue jeans guy, and too old as I had turned 28 and she was approaching 23.

I finally talked her into going fishing with me, and she again told me to not get any ideas about us every being boy friend and girl friend. Two days later she had dumped her two boy friends and her new theme song was "You Make Loving Fun"
