average guy Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 I’m starting to wonder if my wife is driving me crazy. I’m fine at work, no emotional problems, I’m polite etc. and all is well. However, when I come home I develop this persecution complex where everything is my fault and I am always the bad guy (especially around the kids) triggered by things my wife does. My question is, do you think it is because I “let my guard down” at home and my true self emerges, or is my wife causing these feelings, because I don’t feel them at work? Thanks
Merin Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Actually it seems to me that when you get home you're NOT letting your gaurd down, rather it comes up. Sounds as if there is some thing going on between you and your wife.... some resentment of some sort that is being pushed under the surface and not being talked about for resolution... I would sit down with your spouse when you are both relaxed... the kiddo's are at Gma's or some where else.... and ask her whats up? DON'T PLACE BLAME! Simply tell her that you are feeling that there is something wrong, that you want to resolve the problem. Good Luck
