Dancetoindie Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Today my sister was saying that its almost been two years with her bf and it feels like it was just yesterday. I told her I feel like I've been with my boyfriend forever and we are barely turning a year in two weeks. and she said yeah? Is that a bad thing? And I said I don't know. I love my boyfriend and we are very happy together but I'm confused about why my sisters whose been with her bf and is very happy feels like it was just yesterday and I feel like its been forever?
TaraMaiden Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Two sides of the same coin... He romance has just whizzed by.... and you sound as if you might be in the doldrums.... Do you think she's happier with her BF than you are with yours? Is yours stagnating?
TaraMaiden Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Well, in that case, I think it's just two ways of almost saying the same thing. Established, comfortable, happy, everything fits, and you love one another's company. It's just a different perspective of how 'time flies'... You know, if you spend one night waiting for Christmas day, and one night waiting to go to the dentist, the two nights feel very different, as time passes... it's all a question, simply, of your objective. Don't sweat it.... Wait until 2 years have passed with you and YOUR bf.... then, it may seem just like yesterday that you met and got together....
Author Dancetoindie Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 Thanks. I think maybe its because my boyfriend and I talked daily for a year as friends so by the time we got together we knew each other very well already and were comfortable and with my sister it was the other way around.
