jeni45667 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I have emailed a guy and asked if he is free to hang out this weekend. It has been 2 hours and no responses. He checks his emails on his phone frequently. How long does it take a guy to email you back, if he is interested?
Author jeni45667 Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 Thanks for the message. Or he could just be not interested.
scorpio1978 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Two hours is not long at all! While it would be ideal to tell you yes or no right away so you can plan accordingly, maybe he is really laid back and is a spur of the moment kind of guy? I say give him at least a day. If nothing after a day, move along or at least let him give an explanation if he chooses to. 1
ScreamingTrees Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Think you're a bit too invested in this. You need to just let it be, it doesn't necessarily mean anything, but here you are already jumping to conclusions. 2
insertnamehere Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 It has been 2 hours and no responses. Two whole hours? Gosh. Ya know, he may have a life outside of you. 1
Author jeni45667 Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 Update He emailed me back this morning (12 hours later) and said he has family stuff this weekend (could just be an excuse), but he can do Monday evening and he could also chat on the phone this weekend. I think if he's replying to my messages, it means he doesn't dislike me, but he's not that hot for me either, from the sound of having a busy weekend and can only meet Monday night.

Well, the only thing we know for sure is that he's having a busy weekend and can only meet Monday night. Everything else is just speculation. 1

If he's agreeing to meet you on Monday, and talk on the phone this weekend, he's at least interested in you. Don't fret over any other speculation. 1

crude Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 You need to relax jeni45667. He didn't get back to you instantly and you immediately jumped to conclusions, then he said he was busy on the weekend but wanted to talk and then hang on Monday, yet you thought he might be lying about being busy. Take it easy before your head explodes, things are actually going well, progressing nicely, stop thinking negatively too much. Who knows, you might decide you don't like him after all, but either way, just let life unfold. 1
Author jeni45667 Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 I've started not to get my hopes up. Assume "he's not interested until proven otherwise"
