Hi:

I dated a guy a long time ago and (4 years) it was for a very short period, maybe 2-3 mos at most. I recently decided that I wanted to get more serious about dating and wanted to get married. I found him on FB and contacted him mainly because he was someone I liked. The main reason why it didn't work out was he was very insecure and I was a little annoyed at that. however, i think he would be a good husband and father, i figured why not.

think it stands a chance?

You have a chance, unless if he's not completely over you and wants nothing to do with you. Who knows how he took the break up? Just see how things turn out..

How old are you two by the way? Just curious. What made you decide you want to settle down? Got all the partying out of your system? I just want to see what age people get at when they want to settle down.

Wait, whaaaattt?

You dated 4 years ago for 2-3 months? That's not a relationship.

No, you do not tell him you're interested in getting back together. Oye. You don't decide you want to get married and start reaching out to people you dated 4 years ago for 2-3 months.

How old are you and why the heck are you contemplating this?

I don't know about the married part, but otherwise I'm really not sure why this is putting you off. I know a couple who had a similar reunion of a short relationship of this type after even longer of a break. I mean, what's the worst that can happen? She asks, he says yes or no, they either date or they move on.

You're right, I'm sure this does happen sometimes. Like they say, timing is everything.
