cdt76 Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 So in 2009, I went through a pretty traumatic event where my first girlfriend after divorce cheated on me with one of my own co-workers. I didn't know who to trust. I am in law enforcement and my job at the time was hunting fugitives. I didn't know who had my back at work. I went into a tailspin and for 2 years I was a mess. I had a good friend at the time and basically it came to a point that I realized our friendship was one sided. So I told him so and well, never spoke to him again. Till yesterday. He emailed me. He's unemployed, again and going through a divorce. I emailed him back and tried to get the story but he didn't say much. Though he did say he was coming to KC in a couple of weeks and we should grab a beer and catch up. I obliged. Just a weird feeling when you wipe someone completely out of your life and suddenly out of the blue they contact you. It leaves open that future email from my last girlfriend to at some point in the future contact me. Don't know how that would go over.
