He enjoys her as a platonic friend, just like women enjoy men as platonic friends. If he just wants a friend, he can hang out with his buddies. Why would a guy want to have a female friend he spends time with, but won't date? Men and women can be his 'buddies'. Women offer different aspects of friendship from men, as well as different interests. As examples, personally, I enjoy cooking and gardening and find far more of those interests in common with women than men; additionally, women generally are more 'chatty' about interests shared, which blends well with my natural style of communication. I've had some pretty cool female friends over the decades and valued them greatly. Although we generally lost touch after they married, most long prior to my own marriage, I was so happy for them and went to most of the weddings. That's what friends do. As single females are exceedingly rare in my demographic/age group, most of my current female friends are married, some to my male friends. They keep my faith in women alive. So, if a man likes spending time with you and shows genuine interest in your life and health but doesn't want to date you or have sex with you, enjoy him as a platonic friend. Genuine ones which last a lifetime are exceedingly rare, IME, and IMO are to be greatly valued. Good luck.

(and i think this is the case), hes wanting her to ask him out (and means he will be friendzoned when the alpha male appears and starts doing sex with her). your know, he will stop doing things for you and get abit "pointed" about stuff, and she will claim she has no idea why.
