Today is a weird day. I woke up from a very vivid dream where my ex and I were on a vacation and having a really fun time. Reality took a few seconds to kick in. After that, all I have been able to think about is whether he ever has moments like that too. After 6 years together, 4 years living together, does he have moments like that where it seems like the future will be unbearable without me? Does he want me back sometimes? Does he think that he will probably be lonely forever? I just really really want him to be miserable in the same ways that I am. I know it is selfish but it would really help me get over him if I thought he was in as bad as shape as I have been.

This is your ego talking because rejection has made you self-conscious (completely normal by the way).

No one can speak for your ex, no one knows how he feels. We just have to accept the unknown and keep pushing forward. Do the best with what we have/know.

You are dreaming of him because you are thinking of him, and you haven't filled that void yet. I could get your hopes up and tell you what you want to hear: He is thinking about you, dreaming of you, wishing you were there, BUT GUESS WHAT, if he is doing all that, he isn't doing a damn thing about it now, is he?

It's normal to wonder if he is thinking about you or missing you. But, we will never know the answer! It's okay to wonder for a second but do not dwell on it. Let the thought pass and then do something to distract yourself, e.g. work out, watch tv, go out, etc. :)
