Ok. Bear with me here. It could be the wine talking ...

But I've been reading some posts and I see a lot of 'my ex did this and now I'm like this' blah bitty blah blah...

And I'm wondering…why blame someone else for feelings we can't deal with?

Cause really that's all it is.

We got hurt and we can't handle it - we can't put on our big boy\big girl pants on and so it's someone else's fault.

I don't know - I'd like to think I have control over my own emotions. Again like I said - could be the wine talking.

ha-ha!

The wine is certainly contributing!!!!!!!!!! LOL! :lmao:

I think it's simple. We all have a certain degree of control over how we feel. But I do not believe for a moment, that there is anyone on this earth that is not affected by the actions and words of others. We are all influenced in some manner, fashion, degree by what others do and say.

Our strength or lack thereof, comes from what and how we respond to the effects of those actions and words.

Well I agree that words and actions of others affect us to a certain point. But when it starts affecting us to a point where we are actually penalizing ourselves (as in 'oh my ex did this and so I met this awesome person but I won't date him or her because of what my ex did to me) is where I draw the line!

I'll go drink more wine now.
