Jord11 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I don't know if I should do it or not she broke up with me 3 months ago, 69 days nc
shiver23 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I definitely would. My ex deleted me (which I initially felt offended by), and then I deleted my FB. It's been a lot easier to cope without the little status updates/posts of things he likes. FB in general just reminded me of him, so I got rid of it. Same thing with all the little presents he's given me over the past year. I didn't throw anything away, just put it out of sight. 1
CorridorE Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I don't know if I should do it or not she broke up with me 3 months ago, 69 days nc You'll cope better if you do, and you haven't spoken in over 2 months so why keep her as a fb contact? Does it shake you even in the slightest to see her photo and statuses on your news feed? If so, delete her. 1
thefooloftheyear Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Dump the account entirely..Its a bunch of crap anyway. You wont miss it and you will lose the temptation to stalk your ex. TFY 2

BLS Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I don't know if I should do it or not she broke up with me 3 months ago, 69 days nc ABSO-****ING-LUTELY. Internet stalking slows the process tremendously. Get over her, you don't want her in your life in any way at all anymore.
dreamsgone Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I deactivated my whole account. People who matter no my phone number and people who don''t well who the hell cares about them. Just too much temptation to stalk and pine for em at a weak moment. It only hurts you in the end 1
fiftyofsomethin Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Well, unfortunately for people my aged specifically, or teens in general, it is particularly difficult to get up and delete your account. Seeing as many events and things are planned through it for us and it is, as sad as you may think it is, our social hub. If something happens, that's where it is discovered by most people.

Oh, brother.... As hard as it is to believe, people carried on normal.healthy lives long before FB.. Yes, even teens.... TFY

Teens in general are just lazy. If you really want to be cutting edge, phone, don't text.... incredible effect it has, actually using a voice to 'talk' to people... how weird is that? I predict in 2,000 years, humans will have lost their vocal chords, at this rate. And it will be all your fault. 3
Emilia Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I don't know if I should do it or not she broke up with me 3 months ago, 69 days nc You should have done it on day one. What question!
Renard99 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Wow, a lot of hatred for Facebook. It's far from perfect but isn't the devils work as many make it out to be. Yes, phoning may be better, but I can tell you from personal experience, using Facebook allows me to stay close to friends without that costs of phoning Dubai, Paris and Moscow. Believe it or not people Facebook can actually be useful! Sorry, back to topic. Yes, delete your ex, it'll make you feel a whole lot better as you won't have the possible triggers. If you have mutual friends or are bothered that Facebook may innocently 'recommend' your ex as a 'friend' you can always go one step further and block them once you have unfriended them. Doing that Facebook makes it seem, to you, like they never even existed on Facebook. If you actually use Facebook, like I do, and don't consider it 'annoying', 'dorky' and 'lazy' like many of the people above, I recommend you continue to use it. I found that, regardless of the time of day, at least one of my friends, wherever they are in the world, was there to give support if I needed it.

I bet you guys didn't write letters to each other instead of calling just because that's what your parents/grandparents might have done. Just sayin' it's harder than just stopping for us teens. At least it is when this is our life right now. But of course I understand what you mean.
