Charles67 Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 So I wanted to share with everyone the news. My ex contacted me after 3 weeks of NC. I initiated the NC, and she ended up seeing something I posted online and emailed me about it. Basically, saying every time she sees this show she thinks of me, and wanted to know how I was doing. I waited 2 days and wrote back a 4 sentences. Basically saying work is good, and they are keeping me busy. I didn’t ask any questions, just a friendly response. I sent the email Saturday afternoon, and I went out with a group of pals, and guess what… She was at the pub. I smiled and talked briefly to her, and then spent the rest of the evening trying to talk with my friends. I was pretty quiet, just smiling and listening to the conversation. I just wanted to let you guys know that no contact is the key. It killed me when I saw her because it was a flurry of emotion and thoughts going through my head. I stayed for a bit, but I wanted to go home and do my own thing. My thoughts are with all of you out there dealing with the loss of your significant other... It really blows. The no contact rule is meant to be completed when you don’t have a relapse of emotion as I experienced. I still have so many feelings for this girl, and I am sure by my demeanor everything knew I was off – I am usually pretty vocal, and telling jokes. This time I just sat back and listened and laughed. I like to hope it’s the maturing the break up has done to me, and how I wanted to spend more time listening than talking. Who knows right now… I spent today over analyzing, and over complicating everything. Looking forward to work next week, it keeps my mind busy. Good night friends, keep on fighting the good fight.
