tinroof Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 So gave ex back his stuff earlier this week and can't wrap my head around his behavior. After a week of no contact he said he'd pick his stuff up and I asked if he wanted a disposable camera which was partially full of pics we had taken or if I should just throw it away and he said he wanted to keep it. Then he showed up and I gave him his things expecting him to leave soon after. Instead he proceeded to continually hug me and not let go, tell me how awesome I am, suggest to meet up in the future, hug me some more, walk out the door... come BACK in and hug me again. He then texts me after leaving and tells me how difficult that was. After a week of not talking I had assumed he didn't care about the break up and didn't want to speak to me and this behavior just confuses me even more... thoughts?
McGriff Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Ahhh, the fun of trying to figure out mixed signals...bottom line is, he still left. It's still over. He didn't ask to come back or work on things. I have been a victim of this kind of behavior for a while now, and lemme tell ya, it just confuses you and keeps you hopeful. But they are doing it for themselves, not you. Always keep that in mind. Don't spend alot of time trying to figure it out, because there is no answer. The best thing you can do is live your life, and be happy doing it. It's all about you at this point. It's not easy, but it's the best way.
