Basically, about 3 months ago I heard that a beautiful girl who pretty much is the female version of me, liked me. So I began talking to her quite a lot and things were going amazing. Suddenly one day she began kind of making up excuses not to hang out and not replying to texts etc. I was just... Confused for a while. Then we went to a campout together and we were talking a lot (alcohol was flowing) and we were getting along really well.. Then I just looked her in the eye, grabbed her by the waist smiled and we kissed... And like, not just a little like freaking passionately.. We did it a few times until she said we needed to talk about it. She told me that she thinks me and her wouldn't work and she doesn't want to hurt me, because apparently when she gets in relationships they last for a week or so and doesn't want that to happen to me. Also she's moving to Australia in a year apparently which would apparently also end up hurting me, I guess as we're 17 we can't do long distance. Anyway, I didn't take the news well and I stormed off saying stuff like 'I knew you were too good for me' etc and just kind of wandered for a bit and as I came back I returned to her being in a drunken state like rolling in mud and stuff because she had drunk loads of alcohol and it made me feel really bad, so I looked after her like hugging and holding her up from the ground. I don't know what I should do... It's been a while since then and we're still communicating and getting along really well... I've tried convincing myself that it's better this way and I'd only hurt her and myself from this whole thing but I just can't seem to truly believe that. Any suggestions?

OP

We have ALL had crushes before, and most of them never work out. That is why they call them crushes and not successes... anyway. She has made it clear that she does not like you as more than friends. She probably kissed you because she was extremely drunk, and people do stupid things they normally wouldn't do while extremely drunk. For christ's sakes man, she was rolling around in the mud like a drunk piggy! Obviously, she was extremely intoxicated and you took advantage of that! Shame! However, you cannot change the past. So what you can do is leave this girl alone, move on with your life... and look forward to meeting many women next year when you are off to college!

good luck!

No but she got herself really drunk after we had talked... I presumed it's because she didn't want to hurt me but she did and felt bad about it. When we kissed she had 2 beers, so I'm not so sure what you say is the truth.

She told you it won't work, and she's moving to another country. Move on!
