Opto Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I'm taking my girlfriend to the zoo on her birthday (it's been something she has wanted to do forever). I am trying to think of cool and fun ideas to do at the zoo. I called the zoo but they said they only do birthday parties. It's just ganna be her and myself. So far I have.. -Rename the animals. -Scavenger hunt -hiding in the bushes with animal masks and scaring people on video.(as long as we don't get kicked out.) Can anyone else think of any good ideas? Has anyone done anything super awesome on a date at the Zoo? Thanks for your help! =]
Aerrie Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Umm, here is an idea-- just go there and look at animals? 5
outsidethebox Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Have you considered that since she has wanted to go, she knows what she wants to do at the zoo? 1
Els Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 -hiding in the bushes with animal masks and scaring people on video.(as long as we don't get kicked out.) Are you... serious??? I sincerely doubt that's what she had in mind when she was wanting to go... 3

jma500 Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 (edited) Since its just "gonna be you and her" how about streaking with the cheetahs, skinny dipping in the polar bear pool? Edited April 26, 2013 by jma500
StanMusial Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 How about setting all the animals free and filming all the carnage? 2
EasyHeart Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Easyheart's Top Ten Things To Do at the Zoo 10. Talk about how each animal would taste at a BBQ 9. Throw pop bottles at the tigers so they don't just lie there 8. Point out how sexy the female baboons look when they're in heat and ask your girlfriend if she ever looks like that 7. Tell her you want a snowcone and then cry and whine if she doesn't buy one for you 6. Go to a raptor show and every time they send a hawk or eagle to grab something, jump up, yell really loud and try to snatch the bird out of the air. 5. Look for those senior citizens who volunteer at the zoo, sneak up behind them and yank down their pants. Laugh at them as they struggle to maintain a shred of dignity and yell, "I'm paying for your Medicare, bitch!!!" 4. Go to a sea lion or dolphin show and every time they do a trick, mutter under your breath, "I can do that, too. I just don't expect applause every time I balance a ball on my nose. F-ing showoffs!" 3. Pee in the fish pond and laugh at all the fish as they swim away. 2. Go to the snake house and compare each different snake to the size and girth of your penis. When you see a really big snake, ask your girlfriend if looking at it "makes her wet". And the number one thing to do at the zoo: 1. Dry hump an emu. 3
KatZee Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 How about you just bring her and let her pick what she wants to do? Your list seems a bit childish to be honest. Most zoo's have shows at various times to learn about the animals. Maybe check out show times and see what she wants to do, or just let her walk around at her own pace. Scaring people with animal masks is juvenile and you'll be interrupting other people trying to enjoy the zoo.
carhill Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Having taken a few dates to the zoo when I worked there, behind the scenes was pretty fun and staring down one of the old male chimps until he started throwing his poop made for some interesting moments. In fact, the zoo is a scatologist's heaven. Just stroll around, read the signs and talk about the animals. If you come across a pair mating, enjoy. It's the zoo. 1
Ninjainpajamas Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Is this even a real post!! Or are you just..........monkeying....around O.o
carhill Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Oh, also, check at the entrance to see whether there is a posted feeding schedule or if the exhibits are signed for it. Watching the various animals eat can be fun too. We used to give our elephants a 'popsicle', which was a garbage can full of water and fruits, like watermelon/cantaloupe, etc, frozen with a 2x4 in the middle. Release the 'popsicle' from the can and watch them play with it. Pretty amazing. One example. 1
steveT95 Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 From the list you've come up with I am really hoping you're not like 40 and she a recently groomed 13 year old Just have a look around and do the stuff you're supposed to do at a zoo.
DannyMason Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Take her to see the anteaters and the ostriches. Those are the best animals at the zoo.
