Dating slump

1. Went out as friends for couple months, then escalated to sex. Couple weeks ago we talk (I initiated because of her behavior) and she decides she's not ready because of work stress and her general emotional state. I took this very slow and respectfully, this one's on her for sure.

 

2. My crush that backed out last week. Great initial chemistry both ways but she was always a bit flakey and evasive. I could have been smoother but I'm doubtful it would have made a difference.

 

3. Had a second date lined up for tonight. Girl text me her address to pick her up, then a few hours later cancels and says we're just not going to work. I came on strong sexually the first date so I'll take some blame here. Still, she was excited at the end of the first date and said "definitely call me this week". Guess her hormones had the best of her at the moment? She's had 3 days to cancel but annoyingly waits till last minute.

 

Now I have to figure out how much of this is me vs the nature of dating in general. I have another 1st date lined up Sunday but I'm already feeling a bad vibe with her.

Maybe I am reading this wrong but it doesn't sound like a slump to me... sounds like you are lining up dates every couple weeks... at that rate something is bound to happen. Some of us are lucky to get one or two dates a year, if that. Just stick with it and eventually you will meet some girl and it will click with you and it will click with her.

You sound like you could be on the verge of becoming a sexual philanthropist; indeed, the women you attempt to court may see you that way (evidenced by your self-admitted sexual forwardness). I suggest getting a hold on your third leg and only share it when it's the right time for show and tell. The right time differs for each individual so take heed. Be a winner not a moron.

Well, I've essentially been dumped 3 times in 2-3 weeks. It's not what I consider success. Now my dating pool is getting low and I have to figure out how to meet different people.

I guess the one who cancelled....since you came on strong sexually, maybe sex was expected on both sides this time around and she got cold feet last minute because she wasn't ready yet. Maybe turn it down a notch, next time? I don't know what coming on strong sexually means exactly....

Sure was. 2 way street. She freely started sexual talk over drinks, played footsie under the table, and began kissing my neck when I hugged her at the end of the night. Does that make me a bad guy?
