Bluetp Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 First off all, let me tell you I'm 22 yrs. old and I don't want kids ever. I might change my mind when I'm older but that's another discussion. I have been in an exclusive relationship with a man for almost 5 years and have hardly ever used birth control. We've kinda worked out the conclusion that I can't get pregnant b/c he is infertile. We have always been very sexual active, what do u think?
mighty bop Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Go get his sperm checked at the doctors. If you want to be sure that you don't get pregnant, use birth control, it's that simple. Chris
Amethyst Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Let me tell you something: I know a couple who were married for 15 years before they had their first child. For about 12 of those years, they were TRYING to get pregnant. The wife has a medical condition and was told the likelyhood of her getting pregnant was incredibly low; however, they didn't give up. Now, they have 2 beautiful little girls! Yes, two kids after FIFTEEN YEARS of sex! It doesn't matter how many times you've had sex...all it takes is one time. You can have sex 9,876 times and never get pregnant, but get pregnant on the 9,877th. To have unprotected sex is playing with fire, and the two of you 'working out' he's infertile is ridiculous. At the very least, you both need to let MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS 'work out' if anyone is infertile (he's not the only one who could have that problem, you know). If you're serious about not wanting to get pregnant, use common sense and USE BIRTH CONTROL! (Oh, and by the way...even birth conrol pills have a failure rate. You should really be using TWO forms of birth control.)
goodnbad Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 If you "don't want kids ever", then you'd best be using something to protect yourself from becoming pregnant. There's lots of babies out there that were born to supposedly sterile people. I personally wouldn't take the chance. And I would CERTAINLY NOT rely on someone else for taking care of birth control. I would say, take precautions. Then you won't be able to lay blame anywhere. goodnbad
