I so wish this was real and that I could do this 6 to 12 months pure NC does the trick usually! Well not forgetting just not caring. Cav
D-Lish Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 You always think that way in the beginning, but when the smoke clears, and you get over it- the memories won't bother you anymore.
Chevuron Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I was like that in the beginning of my breakup where I just wanted all the bad memories and feelings to stop. It hurt so much that I wished I could just forget it all and just instantly move to a stage that was happier (because I knew I'd feel better one day)! I felt much better when I started practicing being a good best friend to myself! I also put away all of the things he'd given me (rings, dolls, cards) into a box. Then I put the box away and slowly started focusing on things that made me happy. At first, it felt like the end of the world and it hurt to even get out of bed. I know in the future, I'll look back and laugh--and will keep the good memories. You don't want to throw away the good memories you had with them.
