Leegh Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 It can be OK to be single. Personally, I think for people in their 50's and older, it may be their preference to be single. Younger folks may want to marry, as they may have a higher sex drive when younger, and may also want to have children. Yes, to answer your post, there are advantages to being unattached, especially for women, as it does indeed take a lot of effort and time to dress nicely (hair, make-up, etc.) when dating/married.
HumptyDumpty Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 - All the money saved!! A relationship does cost a bit, gifts, travels, etc! I bought a lot of stuff (ok, maybe too much to fill this void lol ), but I bought several instruments & learn the violin with the money and time saved - No more worrying about someone else, I'm left with my own stuff to sort out! - Pyjama days, where I don't go out and stay at home and do what I want, weekends all to myself and I sleep in my comfy bed - I still buy all this "childish" stuff for a woman my age: Hello Kitty. Never gave up this habit 1
ViresSanctity Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 I'm losing weight from depression. Once I'm down to the right weight, I'll stop taking anti-happiness pills. Win for me.
