b52srock Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 Well, not to worry....what could have been an interesting evening ended up depressing me even more. Three margaritas in the span of two hours and then came home. Hard to be the "third wheel" among all our friends that are happily married. Right now, life sucks, and I don't even care. On the lighter side, though, the attorney I plan on using was also at the restaurant/bar tonight, so at least he won't be surprised when I call him this coming week to get things started.....
honey2005 Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 Do you have any single friends you can hang out with?
Author b52srock Posted September 19, 2004 Author Posted September 19, 2004 No, unfortunately. And all my friends are "mutual" friends with him, too, making it twice as hard. I don't want to put them in the position where they feel they have to choose between us. That's why I've locked myself away for the past six months. Didn't want to inconvenience anyone or let them know just how depressed I am. When asked how I'm doing, I simply say OK and leave it at that. Not fair to go into an entire song and dance routine about how my life sucks.
honey2005 Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 Maybe you can go out and make some new single friends. It would be nice to have a couple good friends to hang out with, especially now when you need comfort and someone to talk to:(.
sashastone Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 Being married is not what it's cracked up to be. Enjoy your freedom and find a hobby. Something you love to do.
