cjcjcj Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 I dated a person I worked with for a short period of time but it didn't work out. Now, I'm faced with the fact I have to see this person at work everyday. At first I did the whole avoiding thing but I figured I would run into the person at some point. Every time I do make eye contact I feel really weird about the whole thing. We rarely speak but when we do it seems very awkward. I wish that it wasn't this way but it is. I catch him looking at me the odd time when we're in the same area but I try my best to not notice it. At times I wish that we were still together but due to some problems in the other person's life it just didn't work out. I was wondering how I could go throughout my day without feeling strange about everything. I don't want to quit my job.
Zakar Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 The awkwardness of working with an ex is only there because you both feel the need to avoid eachother. That goes away if you just start talking again. You both quickly realize that neither of you is obligated to feel weird because of how things used to be.
