loredo21 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Can I make a suggestion? Hell, maybe even a demand I want all of you to do me a favor and TRY YOGA! I am telling you, there is nothing better you can do for your mind, body, and soul...Promise me you will try it and even if you don't like the 1st class keep going! It took me about 2 months to reap the benefits and "get it". And now 3 years later it is better than any medication I take. It helps take my mind off A. And I am just an all around better person to be around when I have a daily practice. Plus once you get really good (I am like a friggen acrobat, i swear) Power classes are a great way to get some aggresssion out. It isn't really considered aggression, but when you hit a pose you've been practicing forever it's like "EFF YEAH!" I promise you won't be sorry. And P.S. I just turned 30 and my body has never looked better. So yeah. Get out there and find some peace! <3 2

Oh, I also like kick boxing and punching for when I am in one of those moods...not just A related...I haven't actually done any punching since Dday, but for any bad day where you are feeling pissed off, getting out that aggression does wonders for mind and body! 3
Sadwife37 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Great suggestion Loredo. There is a studio next to where I work and I will check out beginner classes this week. I have never done yoga but I bet I will like it. 1
waterwoman Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Agreed. No classes here but I do try to do some on my own but (thus us going to sound crazy) I am too tall - I am 5'11 tall with 36 in legs and nowhere in my house is big enough and empty enough to do all the postures:o. Roll on summer when I can freak out my neighbours in the garden.... 2
Act Two Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 I'm a big fan of yoga too. I don't have time for it daily, but I do yoga, pilates, Body Combat, and swim at least 4 times a week. It is life changing! 1
lilmisscantbewrong Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 I agree wholeheartedly. I haven't been faithful lately but it is the only thing that truly cleared my mind and kept me peaceful for hours afterwards. Thanks for the kick again Loredo! 1
Decorative Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Yoga and Callanetics keep me sane. And bendy. Love 'em. 1
