Can I make a suggestion? Hell, maybe even a demand :p I want all of you to do me a favor and TRY YOGA! I am telling you, there is nothing better you can do for your mind, body, and soul...Promise me you will try it and even if you don't like the 1st class keep going! It took me about 2 months to reap the benefits and "get it". And now 3 years later it is better than any medication I take. It helps take my mind off A. And I am just an all around better person to be around when I have a daily practice. Plus once you get really good (I am like a friggen acrobat, i swear) Power classes are a great way to get some aggresssion out. It isn't really considered aggression, but when you hit a pose you've been practicing forever it's like "EFF YEAH!" I promise you won't be sorry. And P.S. I just turned 30 and my body has never looked better. So yeah. Get out there and find some peace!

I just turned 30 too, on Wednesday!

Exercise is the best way to get over someone. Not just because it makes you look better but because it releases chemicals that counteract the depression that comes from a break up. I hike all the time, and I'm taking my first Pilates class next weekend. Also have you ever tried Yoga on a paddleboard in the ocean? I'm doing that next weekend too for the first time. Eek!!

I haven't tried it yet but I've seen pictures and want to do it SO BAD! Looks amazingly freeing. My next attempt is aerial Yoga. Super cool.

That's a bit scary for me..but I'll let you know how the paddleboard Yoga is. I'm a little nervous. I don't have the best balance...I'm definitely going to get wet. The place I'm going has tons of seals..maybe they'll rescue me, hehe.

Although my balance on dry land is amazing, I am not the best surfer/snowboarder. So I assume I would be needing some seal saving as well.

That's a great suggestion (yoga). I took up endurance cycling to assuage the emotional 'hurt' and it was pretty effective medicine for both that and the resultant depression, though the depression would take a couple of years to subside. IMO, any personal pursuit which refocuses one away from the affair can be helpful. Bonus points if it dumps 'good' brain chemicals into one's system and benefits their physical fitness.

I started yoga 6 weeks ago and just added a second class this week. I love it. I can now go someplace quiet , even in the office, and center myself in lass than 5 minutes. I highly recommend it!
