Star Gazer Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Do you have any outfits or places you rely upon to make a good impression or keep the fun and sexy vibe going? As the spring season finally starts showing up, I'm disappointed that I have to discontinue two of my favorites: black stiletto boots with dark skinny jeans (a big hit tonight , as usual), and my favorite dark and sexy lounge spot (the vibe and ambience just totally changes when the weather heats up). What are your go-to's?
Eternal Sunshine Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 My favorite first date outfit that guarantees the second date is: stockings, black knee high stiletto boots, black mid thigh skirt (usually pencil and high wasted) and black lightweight trench, slightly shorter than the skirt. But it needs to be at least autumn. 2
Emilia Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 It really depends. I enjoy the summer more because I can wear slinky and feminine without making it look like an effort. Summer dresses are sexy by nature. In the winter dressing up feels more contrived. For venue, my favourites is simplicity. I like pubs I think because I like men who prefer simple venues too. It's all about the conversation and the connection for me, surroundings need to be relaxing. Pubs, restaurants and mutually enjoyable activities. 1
Emilia Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Makes it easier--I impress with the bare minimum, or I don't. I take out the big guns later, once they're already hooked. Fully agree
CryForNoOne Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I always take my date to the bar where my band has a weekly gig. I know all the staff and many patrons any night of the week. This is really important with OLDs because it instantly legitimizes me as a friendly popular guy who IS who I claim I am. As my buddy says, nothing better than having a great home field advantage... 1
TheGuard13 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I usually just wear my sparkling personality. A night at one of my theatre shows or a night of karaoke usually guarantees me at least a second date. I can act and I can sing (belt, for those who are initiated). 2

When the opportunity presents itself I tell them I want to stop by a bar to see my friend's band perform. There are a few bands that will invite me up to play and sing if I show up. That's a real crowd pleaser any time it happens and hooks them every time...

I wore them last night only because it was oddly cold, and I figured it might be the last time I'd get to rock them for a while.
candie13 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I don't date anymore - and if the relationship I'm currently in won't work, I won't be dating for a few months either. I'd usually go for jeans and a nice top. High heels. Not too sophisticated. Not sexy. Not trying hard at all. Very nice hair and make up - the only concession. Nice perfume and scented body cream. That's about it.
PogoStick Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Movie night or a concert at Red Rocks. Even stopping by middle of the day when it's empty will get good results. It's grand and scenic no matter what. But since I just moved away from there This summer I'll try taking my date for an afternoon on a large lake, waterskiing if she's brave. And Cirque de Soleil is coming up. Who's going to be my lucky date?
Janesays Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Yikes. I sucked at dating apparently. (Good thing I don't have to do it anymore!) Usually I would where whatever I had worn to work that day. I wear blue jeans and plain v-neck shirts to work a lot. A pair of white tennis shoes. No make up. I may or may not have been covered in animal hair. I would go where ever....drinks, coffee, casual dinner. Whatever he suggested. I'm normally too busy at work to plan much, so I left it on him. Now that I see, in black and white, how lazy and uninspired my approach to dating was, I'm surprised I got as many 2nd dates that I did. Maybe it's because I normally wouldn't chat very much at all with the man before the date....gave us a lot to talk about during the date? Heck, I don't know. It's a blooming mystery. *shrugs 1

I think you're just about the only person I've ever "known" to claim they haven't ever had to put any effort into the dating process but yet who had such great success. 1
Poppy fields Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 When I was in college, I found this great place to go canoeing that I used to take dates to . Usually for a second or third date. It was quiet, romantic, and I had a good excuse to strip down to a bikini top. 2
