PinkDotsXOXO Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Right before my ex broke up with me after 7 and a half years we planned to take a trip to Vegas. We booked the flight, hotel, and everything. I have been on NC with him for 5 days since we broke up a little over 2 weeks ago. I was curious to see if he remembered to cancel the trip now that we were no longer together. I have the confirmation numbers of everything and I looked up the flight and it stated that everything had been ticketed and confirmed. When we were still talking, I mentioned to him that I was sad I was no longer gonna be able to go to Vegas anymore and he didn't say anything. I don't know if he's forgotten about the trip since then because he has a lot going on in his life right now or if he thinks we might get back together before then. My name is on the boarding pass and all of our reservations. He paid with for everything with the money his parents gave him as a graduation gift and I was then going to give him what I could afford to contribute. That never happened because we broke up. Some days are easier than others and some days I just miss him so much. I want to reach out to him and I have no idea if I should mention this trip to him and break NC? He wished me a happy birthday and said he hoped I had a good day on the 16th which was my birthday which I ignored.

We broke up 5 weeks ago and the trip is in Oct but for some reason I didn't want to cancel it. I feel like maybe we will get back together . Well more like I hope

soccerrprp Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Cancel and if you get back together reschedule. It is folly to lose thousands of dollars in the HOPES of getting back together. You can also reschedule, but that's a load of money that will be lost b/c of unfounded hope. OP, perhaps reminding him to cancel. Then again, it's not your responsibility. But, if you do get back together, you've both lost lots of money. It's not about money, but your unfounded hope needs to be injected with some sensibility. That's my thought. Of course this advice is useless if it's already too late to cancel and recover any money in which case remain in NC.
