bigred0489 Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Long time since I posted here, and things have changed! Anyway, I worked with a girl for a few years as students. We hit it off, or at least I think we did. We constantly "flirted", everyone around us would say that we should just get it over with if you catch my drift. I was in a relationship that ended and in short, didn't have the balls to make a move on her. I guess I always hoped she would do that for me. Anyway, she left the workplace whilst I remained, we saw each other occasionally although she was never far from my thoughts. I left the workplace recently to embark on my first job as a graduate (yay!) and she has recently started chatting to me a lot more, on facebook, texting etc. Earlier this week she text me to ask what my week looked like, we arranged to meet up for drinks last night. I was over the moon! She had told others that we were meeting up and they wanted to get involved but on a day i couldnt make, i instantly thought "ah, its not what I had hoped, other people are coming too". But alas she told them that I couldnt make it and therefore she was sticking to her plan and meeting me! So we met up, had a few drinks, chatted all night. I've always been a little awkward around her, simply because I like her so much. I dont know how it went or what to do/say. We constantly chatted about our new jobs and what we had going on. Both single as well. She was playing with her hair constantly and we maintained eye contact a lot (yes, I've been doing reading on websites about signals....). We left a few hours later, she had to nip into the office to pick stuff up, I made my way home. We exchanged a few texts afterwards and she's planning another get together, but this time with all the others. She played with her hair a lot Eye contact was there She mentioned a guy she was seeing but how that ended quickly and they dont talk Was showing me messages from a bit of a creeper who wont leave her alone I dont know, I really want to believe that there's something there, she's gorgeous, popular (very popular with the men), outgoing and happy. Maybe she's just being nice. I have been told by mutual friends that my time came and went, and that I should have made my move a long time ago. My parents for example can't believe that I haven't just asked her out. If she said yes, wow!! If she said no, I don't think I could see her again out of embarrassment! So, from what I've said, yay or nae?
BluEyeL Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Yes. Ask her out alone again, man! After that get together.

Oh, forgot this: She also brought up this other guy we both worked with, he's a year older than me (im two years older than her), he was one of the ones that was wanting to come but couldnt. I now know that they talk occasionally too, he's quite the ladies man, tall and good looking, so I'm worried that maybe she's interested in him.
