I looked on a few of the unpaid "people finder" sites, about a guy I may go on a date with, (he gave me his card and I have his first name, middle initial and last name). He is listed; his age (43), city and state, but only him, and no parents or siblings listed. Is this unusual? I can't ask him anything about it, as I hardly know him. When I've looked up other friends in the past, even if their parents, siblings, etc. live in another part of the country they are listed. What do you folks think? Is it that he has no living relatives? Obviouly, he had parents at one time. Could he have had them deleted from his info.? Thanks for any info., just curious as he and I may meet for drinks over the week-end.

It's not unusual at all. Most of those sites derive their info from things such as property records, utility bills, etc. even magazine subscriptions! So it's entirely likely there was no meshing of his name with his parents. My BF's parents are not associated with his name, and they have all been local since he was born.

Edit: I used to lean on these sites heavily, and it led to more than one misunderstanding. It's one thing to be cautious, another to come off as paranoid/suspicious. Good luck!

Those sites aren't very reliable. I've had to contact many of them to remove my information. No point in having it available if it is wrong.
