So she allows me to drink with my friends but I am not alloud to drive even after one beer. However when she is with her girlfriends she can drive and be fine. I can hold my alcohol to but my girlfriend said I'm not alloud to drive even after one beer. So if I don't have a DD I either don't go or drink coca cola. Are any other guys finding their girlfriend protective? I would say she's not controlling because this is the only thing she voices her opinion on. I must have a DD when I go with my friends or I'm not alloud to drink with them. I don't lie to her. I'm just curious at what u guys think. I love her to death and she loves me.

If she were militant on the issue in regards to herself too then I would think that is just how she rolled. But having a set of standards for her behavior and one for yours is controlling and wrong.
Brunettie Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 If I could guess, it's that she knows how she is after a drink. She knows she can drive home fine. But she doesn't know about you. She doesn't know how you feel after one drink. She doesn't know how much it'll affect you. and she'd rather be safe than sorry. Think of it like this...just an example: Say she wanted to always be the one to drive over to your house to see you, rather than you going to her house to see her. She is the one making the commute. She knows throughout the entire drive that she is safe and fine. She knows when she gets home. But if you're driving to her house, she doesn't know if you're safe at the moment. She doesn't know if you got home ok. I hope that made as much sense as it did in my head.. She is hypocritical about it, but I don't think she intends to.
