youngnlove89 Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 So because of this thread, I went home last night and smudged my apartment. Haven't done so in a little while. I went through each room banishing all evil/negativity. I then read a few passages from the bible and a few psalms out loud. I went to bed and last night I had a REALLY creepy dream. I was a mother figure to this child who was evil. He was murdering people and burning their bodies. I went to a window and I saw it was snowing outside. Except it wasn't snow, but human ash. It was piled thick on the ground and on all tree limbs. I went into the room where this child was and I took a knife and began stabbing him, I stabbed him from behind over and over and over. I stabbed him in the neck. When he fell on his back I came at him from the front and began stabbing his heart over and over to ensure he was dead. He was not dead, he stood up and I hacked his entire head off his body. Now... I don't know what the hell to make of that dream. The dream did not instill fear into me. I know for some it would scare the begezzus out of them. There was no fear on my end. I've never had such a violent dream before though. It could just be that it was on your mind all day and then you dreamt of it or maybe evil trying to sneak in. What do you think?
KatZee Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 It could just be that it was on your mind all day and then you dreamt of it or maybe evil trying to sneak in. What do you think? Well I wasn't really thinking about evil at all. I was just doing my regular smudging. I wasn't watching any scary movies either. Just weird!

Thus, it would help to dissect the dream and apply limited religious influence over it. To witness a murder generally implies deep seated anger toward someone. This can mean the self, and would imply parts of you you desire to destroy. To include evil represents a repressed or forbidden part of yourself. It can also represent your own anger or hatred of something, or those parts seeking validation. To see ash, for instance, can signify bitter changes, disruptions or disappointments. If you're having dreams like these, it can be helpful to look at yourself in the context of these ideals. I wouldn't attribute it to a supernatural process, as this excludes your own responsibility to yourself and instead places them easily in the hands of someone else (god, for instance.) 2

And I can't think of any bitter change in my life. I'm way better off without my ex, my dad just got a new great job, I have great friends, a great social life now, getting back into dating. I'm very satisfied with my life and the changes that have come about. I don't know. I can't really think of how my waking life would be some some subconscious version of that dream.
BetheButterfly Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Please if you comment I don't want any jokes or ridicule. I'm aware of the sleep paralysis theory in psychology and the science of sleep, etc. Those are theories and don't account for the profound subjective experience in millions of people who have this. It is hard for people who have not experienced anything like this to understand. I have never experienced anything like that, so I cannot understand. Now, I have experienced what I believe to be angels helping me, so it would be not fair to discount people who believe they have experienced demons interfering in their lives.

The implications of witnessing and comitting a murder are practically the same. Seeing the murder means the change wants to be recognized. Being the murderer means you're recognizing and putting it to bed. A common dream interpretation of that dream would most likely include a realization that the changes you've made have been difficult, and trying, especially through a breakup, and that you're getting over the negativity you felt by subconsciously "murdering" it. I'm not a psychologist, but I find there is wisdom in looking at yourself when discussing dreams, rather then shirking it off on the dear leader.
BetheButterfly Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 I find this episode has occurred after a week of me praying fervently for God to impart his Holy Spirit on me. I recall actively giving Christ permission to have authority over me and host my body as his "temple". My brother told me this prayer does NOT make Satan happy. Satan would prefer any prayer over that--be it a prayer for success, healing, money, etc. But my brother thinks, just like Christ who was targeted by Satan in the desert after his baptism, I was targeted by a demon after they saw the result of my prayer. They are "keeping tabs" on me like a military keeps tabs on persons of interest in enemy territory. Jesus Christ doesn't take over our bodies and host them. God gives us His Holy Spirit to lead and guide us, but that doesn't mean that we are being taken over by an alien force. Rather, it simply means that God gives us the power and the ability through His life-giving Spirit to live for Him. As for our bodies, God expects us to live right for His glory because we love Him. In that sense, we are offering our bodies as "living sacrifices" - by obeying Him with our bodies.

Perhaps the word "hosting" threw you off since that word tends to be associated with demonic possession. This is one of my main objections to modern Christian theology. We incorrectly believe that any strong powerful influence by the spirit world is demonic. The spirit world is just a medium--not good or bad. It's which TYPE of spirit enters you that is key. Christ was baptized and the Holy Spirit descended upon him and entered into him. Additionally, we ask Christ to "come into our hearts". That is just another word for hosting. All we are, as humans, are vessels. You and I will always be hosted. We were meant to host. The only question is WHO?

I know for some it would scare the begezzus out of them. There was no fear on my end. I've never had such a violent dream before though. Do you watch horror movies? I am just curious. Jesus did not kill demons. He ordered them out of people. Also, demons are not characterized in the Bible as having their own physical bodies... that's why it seems that this malevolent spirits tend to seek shelter in a human body. Fighting violence with violence is not a spiritual principle. It's a physical reaction. Killing a murderer, whether that murderer is human or not, is something that is not what Jesus Christ taught or did while teaching his followers. The following is where Jesus rescued a boy from demonic possession, according to Matthew 17. Matthew 17 NIV - The Transfiguration - After six days - Bible Gateway 14 When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him.15 “Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. 16 I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.” 17 “You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” 18 Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment. 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” 20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” [21] [a]" Now, this human boy was considered to be demon possessed. Jesus did not kill him or deem him a "demon boy" or a "child who was evil" which I think is really important to meditate on and consider. While in your dream the "child who was evil" was killing people, that to me reminds me more of horror movies. In horror movies, killing or trying to kill monsters before they kill more people or you seems to be a recurring pattern. So, it might be a good idea to meditate as to why violence is a part of your dream? Edited April 18, 2013 by BetheButterfly 1
pureinheart Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 I am not sure it is a gift - but then again I prefer to remain humble because too much ego can be a dangerous thing, lol. Personally, I think it is a case that some off us retain memories of when we could actively see, hear, smell and communicate with the Guardians God sends to bear witness to our lives. I am talking from birth onwards here. I can clearly remember playing with my Guardians and could feel my daughters Guardians at their births. I am aware of my Guardians more than the demons. They are far more interesting, lol. It is also passed on within families - my youngest is very aware of spirit. Take care, Eve x I could be way off on this (gift thing) ...man I wish I could remember that teaching ...one thing I know for sure is, is that it's not a curse or anything. I remember the teaching being a possitive one, not to be feared. Amen to the bold! LOL, I've had dreams of my Guardians:), and yep, it's generational. 1
pureinheart Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 you were inspired to write more, its a gift.... and i thank you i will look them up....deb Amen Deb- wanted to speak the Word over both of us because I relate to what you spoke/experienced...God Bless you love! 1
KatZee Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 I do watch horror movies, but none in a while. And I've also been watching them since I'm about 7 years old. Always have loved the horror genre. I'm pretty desensitized by them honestly. I don't watch scary movies then have scary dreams. I also didn't say this boy in my dream was a demon. I refer to him as "demon child" but not in the literal sense that he was possessed by any supernatural evil. I use that term loosely. My boss has a child who never sleeps and cries all the time. I call him a demon child as well. I stated that I've never had such a violent dream in my life. (At least none I woke up and remembered) this is it. So it was just weird to me that it occurred right after doing my smudging. Maybe since in my waking life I was banishing evil energy, it took that form in my dream and I eliminated an evil force. Who knows.
pureinheart Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 I haven't read the whole thread..so forgive me if this has been mentioned. It is good to pray over your home after a stranger before and after visits from others. Door to door people I no longer allow in my home but I do pray for them and my family when they leave my property. When I have visits from friends or family I pray before their arrival and after their departure. Hitch hikers don't necessarily stay on the road. This is a very wise practice, and I forget to do this- then will notice weird demonic activity in operation. When my Godmother and I prayed over the phone we'd pray and secure the phone lines...now with cell phones, well not sure what to do about that.
Eve Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Maybe since in my waking life I was banishing evil energy, it took that form in my dream and I eliminated an evil force. Who knows. Maybe? To me, I thought when I read your post off a mixture of Criminal Minds, something you read yesterday which horrified you and a desire to not have to do anything you feel pushed into doing; being a mother to an evil child. I like your conclusion anyway. I think the dream represented a strong desire to take this **** seriously. H'mmm... overall, I would warn off being too alert to evil as it is basically a waste of time. Glad you cleared out your house. Ask Jesus to clear even what you have tried to clear as I do think you were a bit anxious about things. Take care, Eve x
CarrieT Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 <glancing at my avatar and biting my tongue> I applaud you folks who believe prayer works to speak with demons. Without being able to divulge much, trust me when I say you have to learn their language(s) to get them to understand much of anything. They - ahem - "laugh at the folly of prayer." </glancing at my avatar and biting my tongue> 2

CarrieT Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Sounds interesting though it is different than what I personally believe. Why are you biting your tongue? Please tell what you know!? I can't. Part of the oaths I took... That is why I am biting my tongue. I would love to expand on what I know and the most I can say is, "learn THEIR language if you want to communicate with them." Demons hearing prayers in English, Latin, or Aramaic or whatever is like us hearing a foreign language = it means NOTHING. Think about it: When you go to a foreign country and you don't understand the language, do you know what is being said? Possibly you can discern intent of strong emotions (anger, love), but nothing else. Same with animals. Do they understand our language? No - they can learn certain sounds and our voice inflection (anger/love/food), but nothing else. Demons are the same way. Scripture is meaningless to them... That is the dialect of method of communication for man. And M30USA, you can quote scripture to me until you are blue in the face... It is meaningless and pointless to me (and most of the entities you folks have been talking about). Seriously.

Whatever. Just know that it is for your own benefit and yours alone... It does not effect me whatsoever. BetheButterfly Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 I can't. Part of the oaths I took... That is why I am biting my tongue. Would would happen if you broke your oaths? They are much stricter than marriage oaths, yeah? would love to expand on what I know and the most I can say is, "learn THEIR language if you want to communicate with them." No - they can learn certain sounds and our voice inflection (anger/love/food), but nothing else. Demons are the same way. Scripture is meaningless to them... And M30USA, you can quote scripture to me until you are blue in the face... It is meaningless and pointless to me (and most of the entities you folks have been talking about). Seriously.People have different beliefs. Most Atheists I personally know think demons do not exist. They also do not believe angels exist. I understand that. I personally would think the same as my Atheist friends think concerning demons, except for what the Bible says. I can't ignore that Jesus cast demons out of some people. I also cannot ignore how I have felt an angel helping me before, though my Atheist friends think it wasn't an angel since they don't believe angels exist. They think the only reason I think an angel helped me is because I have been raised in a Christian home. They have a valid point, but that doesn't negate my belief that angels exist. As for demons, some scholars today simply think that was just ancient talk of sicknesses that people couldn't explain, so they called the people with those sicknesses "demon possessed." Since nowadays more and more people are not believing in the existence of God, more and more people also do not believe in the existence of beings such as demons, angels, or ghosts.
CarrieT Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 I believe in angels and demons. I've had first-hand experience with both, but do not come to that belief from a Christian perspective. I was raised Christian and am well-versed in its doctrine. I have been a self-avowed occultist for more than thirty years, having read as much as I could about most of the major religions. I'm leaving in a few minutes for a long weekend trip so I can't respond to every question or query, but will reference a book I found helpful in how *I* and many others view these beings: Angels, Demons, and Gods of the New Millenium by Lon Milo DuQuette.
BetheButterfly Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Whatever. Just know that it is for your own benefit and yours alone... It does not effect me whatsoever. I just figured I would save you some wasted effort, if you thought it was or would do anything to or for me. While I can't of course speak for M30USA, I personally did not think he was trying to convert you or cast out demons out of you lol or anything like that. I think he was just simply responding according to his belief, and I agree with the Biblical passage he quoted. Please correct me if I'm wrong about why you quoted the Bible verses M30USA. I am not righteous, but I believe Jesus cleanses me and is my righteousness, and even though I have no experience as far as I know concerning demons, I have seen praying to God help me in other areas, as well as help other people. Anyways, of course it makes sense that the Bible does not do anything for you, but for those who believe in the Bible, it does help us. I suppose it'd be the same if you quoted from a book that didn't do anything for us, but did something for you. ? So, it's possible he's just responding according to Biblical beliefs and there are several Christians who like to encourage each other with Scripture, as well as with songs or testimonies. 1
KatZee Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 In your dream, you killed a human child? Yeah, horror movies are very effective in desensitizing people. Yes. He was bad though. He was murdering other people, cutting them up and burning them. There was a garden full of human ashes all piled up. Trust me, this human child had to go.
