I have just recently started writing my thoughts and feelings down when I am upset, angry or feeling insecure. This is such a great emotional release for me when I do this.

 

The next day, I read through all of it. I have found so many answers to why I feel the way I do. I have uncovered "baggage" from previous relationships causing problems in my present relationship.

 

I also share some of these writings with my bf and he learns more about me as well.

 

Wish I would have started doing this years ago.

This is always a good idea. When you go back to what you wrote you see how you've grown and/or changed. Certain things even seem silly. Your feelings stay on that paper forever and you can always go back and relive what ever it was you wrote. Those memories will not fade because you have on paper.
