When does it just get better??

Ugh I just want to feel happy again or even remotely happy, even not think about him every single day all day. I literally analyze every conversation we had and just think how did this happen? I just want to stop thinking. I can't lay in bed all day because I have work to do and classes to attend I deleted him from fb but I kind of want to add him again but that's too weird. I just want to be ok again or like even a little ok

I think once you accept it is over and there is nothing you can do about. That's dependent on the situation, which I do not know about.

After that I believe it is just a matter of NC and keeping busy, time is a healer and all that.

 

I wouldn't start NC unless you feel you have closure. If you still are unsure about things, and if he is reasonable enough to be willing to do so, then talk things through. At least that way you may have a bit of peace of mind.

It's been four months since my breakup and I can tell you that I felt a lot of the same things. It DOES get better. I look at where I was at each month mark and I realize that I am getting better even though I still think about him a lot and still feel sad sometimes. Take a few weeks to just do things that make you feel happy and comfortable. Like a "safety blanket week," and then after that slowly start making goals for yourself. Take it one day at a time, maintain no contact, and slowly things will get better.
