savethedrama4allama Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 And the official "bra measurer" was trying to tell me that a 32D is the same as a 34C or large 34B because of the cup size to circumference ratio. My initial reaction was "no way" but I didn't have time for a test run. Anyone?
Tracy Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 No sure about being the same as a 34B.........but I have been told several times that a 34C is same as 32D, with minor differences. I wear a 34C, but was told I should be wearing a 32D because I'm a little smaller around and I fill the C a little much. Dillards, VS, and Penney's people said that....about them being the same.
Naive Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Well I usually wear a 34D but I aldo fit into a 36C. They are bout the same. If you increase the size of your back you just decrease the size of your cup. Do I make sense?
tiki Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Makes sense to me. As long as they ain't all hangin out and crap, you should be fine. Sounds like all the same jive to me.
Naive Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Yeah it also depends on the style of the bra. There are some bras that fit better on as a 34D and other fit better 36C. When I want my jugs to be all the way to my neck though I go for a smaller size.
savethedrama4allama Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Yeah i just imagine my back fat being shoved into the cup area. It seems like its not right.
lydiamarie Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 so there are two ways to increase the volume that the cup will hold: either going up a cup letter or up in band size. (so a 34C will cover less breast than a 36C) it took me a long time to convince a close friend of mine that her 36C bras didn't fit. the cup size was fine but the band didn't touch her below her breasts. finally she tried on a 34D and, lo and behold, it fit perfectly. my 32C/34Bs (for those of you who do the bra math now) are a bit envious. just a tit bit.
Jezzie Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 I wear a 34 D or 36 C, too, depending on the bra. I like the bigger size in 'firmer' fabrics and the smaller size with stretchier fabrics. Squeezing into a 36C can produce quadruple-boob, though. Not nice. And back fat happens with the 34 if it's not stretchy enough. I think I need a 35 D. I checked out a website called spanx.com - NO it's not like that! - it looks interesting. They have a bra that has no closure and it's made completely of nylon. Could be comfy, could be hot. Anyone tried it?

Wolvesbaned Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 OK people please explain this to me. For some reason I never knew about the band/back fat thing I understand the cup size & going down a cup while increasing the size yields the same-o bra size but the band and back fat? Also, gravity takes its toll after awhile... will switching to a different band(?) help? Anyone... anyone???
