maybe I look into words like that too much? but they are all instant killers. I feel like girls use those words to make it clear they're not looking for anything more than friendship ?

I was in a bar this weekend with my friends and a girl was in a bar across the street basically begging me to go see her, she told me she'd meet me outside and everything she seemed so desperate to get me to go meet her.. I've only met her twice before, but I got her number straight away, she seemed really really nice.. only at the end of nearly every text she'd call me bro.

which to me was an instant friendzone?

another incident with another girl was she text me saying she misses me and we saw a lot of each other for a short time and now we barely see each other anymore but she felt like we were really creating a friendship.. that one sucked because I really liked her.

I was hoping it was nothing and maybe she just wanted to hang out more to become more than friends eventually but I doubt it ?

I don't know what's going on lately, I barely seem to open my mouth and I get friendzoned. I used to get so much attention in comparison to this and I haven't really changed all that much except i'm in a lot better shape now than I was.

it's probably best I don't have a relationship right now.. it's just nice to know you're attractive to the opposite sex sometimes and not just considered a friend. I don't know what to do.

I know very few girls who will call a guy 'bro'...and the ones that do aren't so girly, so to speak.

I'd say if she's directly calling you man, bro, dude, she's either not interested in dating/relationship or is going to be ultra-casual about it. If she flat out says friendship, then you know your answer.

Just curious, how old are these girls?

Is 'Calgary' for the city?

yeah the city. around the gigs ages. 20-25. I don't know how to stop falling into friendzones this never used to happen, I must be carrying myself in an unattractive way or something. I can't work out what i'm doing differently.

I have a tendency to say "dude!" a lot, but when engaging with a guy I like, I reign that in for the very reason I don't want to sound buddy-buddy with him.

Cool, I'm in Edmonton...we're neighbors. :)

Hmm, yeah, girls that age I guess I could see it a bit more. Saying dude or bro just seems to unfeminine to me. I definitely wouldn't be saying it to a guy I was interested in.

Are you hanging around different types of girls from before? You were successfully dating girls previously?
