Author Star Gazer Posted April 30, 2013 Author Posted April 30, 2013 What if he a room with a crib ready to go? How would you take that? At this point, it would be weird given that he doesn't talk about them.
tuxedo cat Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 He sounds a bit wrapped up in himself, dare I say "narcissistic"? Ok I've been guilty of overusing that word too much at times but narcissism has become more and more prevalent in our society. Consider: *swanky loft revolving around his lifestyle with no trace of his kids *surgeon (not in itself meaningful but it's worth considering that there is a high rate of arrogance among those in that profession, probably more than in almost any other) *dominates conversation *fills his weekend with bachelor type activities Aside from the kids issue, I think if you become more seriously involved with him you may find he has trouble fitting you into his life as he seems to prioritize himself and his lifestyle over all else. You wrote earlier in the thread that he's pretty modest, but for what it's worth most of the narcissistic men I've known put on a show of false modesty because blatant arrogance is considered crass. I think you can pick up a lot about a person from how they fill their homes. How is his loft decorated? Cold, austere? More homey and down to earth? Just trust whatever sense you're getting from these little details put together. Does he seem like a nurturing, giving person overall?
StanMusial Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I think you have all the answers you need. But you may still try to force that round peg into a square hole.
Author Star Gazer Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 *fills his weekend with bachelor type activities Ehhhh, never said that, nor is it true.
Author Star Gazer Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 What happened with Dr. Surgeon? Why did you resurrect this thread?
eleanorhurting Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I feel like I'm behind with all my Lsers love lives I guess asking people directly would have been easier!
Forever Learning Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I haven't had a full tour, but I imagine in one of the two bedrooms in his loft. But there are like... no toys anywhere, no kids DVDs laying around, no drawings on the fridge, no rubber ducky in the tub... no sign that anyone other than a dude lives there. You know? I only read the first few posts of this thread (all I had time for) but this blows my mind. My house is a clusterfvchk of kid-ness, it is actually the total opposite the is no sign in my house that an adult lives there LOL. I would be VERY LEERY of a guy with kids that has NO KID STUFF at his house. That sounds anal and very weird to me. Kids are fun, kid stuff is fun. I have a tower built out of couch cushions and chairs in my living room, and wooden block towers, and they stay that way as long as the kids want them too. My life is kid friendly, and I don't get those with kids who don't love to let the kids have fun with toys and such around. But maybe that's just me, I definitely go overboard, no doubt about it. But it's just fun.
Author Star Gazer Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 Can we drop this thread, please? I'm not seeing him anymore, no desire to, so the subject is moot.
