Co-worker pushed my professionalism to the limit

i'd have just taken them and smiled and said thank you. I think when somebody is mean to you, the best thing you can do is be nice to them.. it makes them feel bad.. if you're mean to them, it only makes them feel better about being mean to you.. and then continue to be mean to you.

 

Although at the same time, I suppose, if they know they can get away with being mean to you, what's to stop them. I generally hate people and they way they behave. You probably did the right thing, shooting her down.
