My girlfriend and I of 3 months broke up about 2 weeks in to me studying abroad for the semester. We're both in law school and she broke up with me, she said, to focus on school and couldn't handle the extra worry that came with a kind distance relationship. She said that she was open to the possibility of dating when I came back. She voiced some issues with the relationship right before I left, but it was nothing that couldn't have been figured out if I had not left.

So with a few weeks left before I get back I wonder how to handle things. We haven't talked much, just texts here and there early and lately there has been no contact. Either she is super busy and stressed with school, or she has moved on. I told her a few times early after the breakup that I missed her, but haven't said anything like that lately and have not written any emails or anything trying to get her back.

I do want to try to date her when I get back, but how should I go about it? I am thinking if sending a handwritten letter about how I feel. Or would it jut r best to call her and ask to see her? Unfortunately I think she is over it, but I don't know for sure. I'd like to try but I don't want to come off as some desperate guy who hasn't gotten over her. Finals are coming up so I really don't expect any communication from her until they are over; maybe not even after that.

Call her after finals. Suggest a meet up for a coffee. Find out where your lives/heads/hearts are at and if there is enough there to try again

I guess that is all I can do now, huh? Like trying to talk to her now, or keep in touch, will not really lead anywhere? Just have to wait til I get back, I guess...
