veganpilot Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Here is what happened. Today when I was dropped off at at school, my crush would always sit in his usual spot and stare at me when I pass. However, today, he and his friends stood where I had walked past directly! If this is confusing, here is the image or map: The blue path is where I usually walked. The pink seat is where they usually sat and the green seatseats are where they sat today. The purple path is where I walked after I saw them. Anyway, when I saw them sitting around there (the path is very narrow) and only him standing up, I diverted my usual path and walked into another direction. He looked at me when I did that. I did not walk past there because it was kind of embarrassing and I would walk so close to him that we would touch! His friends are immature idiots too. After that, in a study session where we could do any piece of work, he took out the exact assignment I had on my table and started doing it. Then, he friends 'mysteriously' left and gave us some alone time. I had the guts to speak to him and this was how he went: Me: Had you finished your assignment? Him: Nope *Refuses to make eye contact and talks softly. He usually make eye contact and talks confidently with other girls and guys* *When girls talk to him, he usually ignores them or reply "I don't know." Me: How did your school photos go? Mine were horrible! *smiles* Him: *nods** Me: Do you read Anthony Horowitz? Him: I don't know who he is *Though I know we both took books on the same shelf before. This could mean that: he was not paying attention to the author, read another book from that shelf and not Horowitz or lied* My teacher told me he was acting kinda rude. Was he or was he shy? Does he seem uninterested kr hurt from this morning that I avoided him? Also, he always stares at me a lot. The other day, he looked me up and down (as always) and when his friend tried to block his view, he re-adjusted his position to stare at me clearly and strained himself up and down! There is also this other situation in class where I was standing up and caught him looking out of my peripheral. I looked at him and he looked at the floor immediately, then went back to do his work. So is he disinterested or shy?

Why is he confident with other people but will not make eye contact with me? He kinda nodded and said umhm when I tried being cute, laughing and said my school photis were horrible. However, duribg the photo day, there was an embarrassing and awkward situation. I was staring at him when he walked past and his turned his head to look back at me for 5 seconds.
creighton0123 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Cute. My first love shack map :-D Anyhow. He reads as shy and awkward in talking to girls (or boys... never said your gender). You can either ask him out and he'll appreciate it as an ice breaker... or he'll run for the hills because he's too shy.
Esoteric Elf Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 As an extremely shy guy, yes, I would say he is shy, though I raised my eyes in doubt when you said that "he usually make eye contact and talks confidently with other girls and guys"; nonetheless, if he stutters, uses unconventional verbiage, and avoids eye contact like heck, he probably is shy.
