Ordinaryday Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 I know none of you will believe this but anyway... I just looked at my phone text messages and it sent five blank text messages to my ex girlfriend who dumped me... there was nothing in the text body (obviously) but I see that it sent her five blank texts. I probably knocked it or something and made it do it, but I am really worried... what do I say if she responds and asks why I am 'stalking' her or something? and I know none of you will believe me (I probably wouldn't if the situation were reversed) when I say that the phone did it by itself (I probably knocked a button, but I certainly didn't willingly text her!) but has this ever happened to you? what did you do? And please don't anyone suggest that I send her a text explaining that it was a 'phone stuff up' and that I did not intentionally text her... sending that WOULD 100% MAKE IT LOOK INTENTIONAL, so no way, no how. I am just going to ignore it... but what do I do if she contacts me and asks me why I did not 'delete' her number or something? for the record I DID, but I did not delete her text messages to me, keeping them for sentimental value...
OwlSoul Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 but I am really worried... wtf... why do you even care about it? More you care about what will someone think about you (especially your ex), less attractive you'll appear.
Author Ordinaryday Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 I care for two reasons. 1) on the whole I was proud with how I handled her dumping me. I never begged pleaded, whinged, nothing. I accepted her decision and left her alone. my phone stuffing up and contacting may look pathetic and make her think I am reaching out to her or something. I am not. 2) the city I live in IS PETRIFIED about male to female violence/stalking/etc, to an extreme point of over-reaction. so much as look at a girl funny and she is screaming "rapist" - I am NOT joking. so the last thing in the world I want is the police showing up at my door asking why I am 'stalking' her or something... this is not an exaggeration, I have seen it happen to people.
OwlSoul Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Sending empty texts is obviously a sign of a rapist. If you do not want to explain her anything, then the only way left is just to ignore it.
soccerrprp Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 I would wait until she responds. If not, good. Then I would delete her number so it doesn't happen again.
Author Ordinaryday Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 I actually DID delete her number... but not her text messages to me, which were still stored in the phone - when we were together she often sent me texts saying how much she loved me and I just couldn't bring myself to delete them... but now I know why people say DELETE EVERYTHING from your ex off your phone and email... it is not worth the possible stress that will result in your phone messing up and texting her, accidentally texting her, etc.
