Hope737 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Hi guys, I don't know if any of you remember my post about breaking up with the now ex girlfriend but anyway, here goes. No contact is not an option for me as we're in the same circle of friends and we actually work together. Rubbish situation, right? So I've been going for the next best thing after no contact, low contact. I've been avoiding social gatherings as I know she'll be there. But last night I decided to go out and face the music. It was ok I guess, it's still very hard to see her as just a friend though. She was the woman I was going to marry and have children with. Anyway she ended up texting me from across the table while all our friends were there, asking if I was alright and that she worries about me. I do NOT see these as breadcrumbs as any hope of getting back with her is long gone. After what she did to me I'd be a fool to go back. So I texted back saying that I'm fine and there's no problem. She then texted back saying "I'm sure you hate me now". In the end, she suggested going for a meal this Friday. I agreed. Purely just to clear the air, get closure and hopefully give myself a chance of moving on. What do you guys think? Good idea or not? I don't see a problem myself as I know I'd be doing it for the right reasons.
