Locust Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I met a older woman online in a chat room, she is in her mid 30's and I'm in my mid 20's. I never done this before and for all I know it could be a man behind the keyboard but if it is a actual woman, I'm not so sure about this. We have a big age gap and sort of has me wondering would this even work. Also she on the east coast and I'm on the west coast, and I told her I don't think long distance will work, but she insist it can. I'm asking to see if you guys had a similar thing like me and what did you do?
ChessPieceFace Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 She's on the other side of the continent and not in your age range. Just... why. There's probably more eligible women your age in a 100 mile radius of you than you could ever meet, if you met one per day.
Author Locust Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 She even wanted me to close my dating profile I have online. That to my opinion was a bit too much.

Author Locust Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 Sounds like you feel there are too many obstacles. Listen to your gut I guess so. The two main things is age and distance. We have about 10 year age difference and she lives way on the eastern US while I'm located on the west coast.

We have about 10 year age difference and she lives way on the eastern US while I'm located on the west coast. I'm older (40) and have dated younger men so I understand the situation I think. The thing is, the two of you could meet up and decide whether age difference was an issue or not - if you lived closer. That's usually a good idea whether there is an age gap or not anyway (I'm not into LDR either). The fact that you live on the opposite sides of the US is the main issue. I think there are two types of people: those that can do LDR and those that can't. Everything else is detail.

But I would really need to think would I really want to build a long distance relationship. Its pretty because usually lot of dating and spending time with each other.
