You don't do or say anything. You take her places that you can afford to. Show her a good time.

that is very true, take her places you can afford. Movies dont cost a lot, nice picnics dont cost a lot. If you really feel like you need to tell her, then just be honest and sweet about it. If a guy I was dating just sat me down and said hey, money is a bit tight right now, but I really like you a lot, and hope you dont mind but I would like to get to know you a lot better,

I dont think it would be a big deal in a bad sense. I would appreciate the fact that he was honest with me,rather than wondering "why we never do anything/go anywhere" half way through the relationship or something. Good luck, and I hope she understands!

Right. Even the slightest hint that you consider her capable of mercenary motives would be highly offensive to a decent woman. But do give her the best you can with the reasonable resources you have got. If you can't afford a nice restaurant, that's OK. But you better get good at packing tasty picnics (with inexpensive homemade food that she likes) and finding lovely spots to spread them out and share them with her. Go swimming, hiking, fishing, window shopping in a cute nearby town. That kind of thing.

Tell her your money situation if you don't want her to think you're a cheapass. If she runs, she's not meant to be anyway. I'd want to know if my man were broke, I'd pitch in and help. It's not solely your job to date her and pay for EVERYTHING.

Since you don't know enough about her to know what is/isn't important to her, that tells me that you still need to spend time getting to know each other. Spending time getting to know her shouldn't cost anything really. You can wonder around the mall and talk. You can sit outside on the porch and talk. Bike rides don't cost anything (if you each have a bike). Time at a park would be nice, too.

There is no reason to spend huge amounts of money on someone you don't know very well or aren't very serious about yet . . . unless you want to come off as snobbish. But that's just MY humble opinion.

I agree with LH... it's a bit too early in the game to be discussing money. Just spend more time getting to know each other without having to spend lots of money.

Hi, how long have you been dating her? Unless youve gone out of your way to make it seem like you have more money than you do, chances are she might already know where youre at and if shes still interested, it means she likes you for you and not money. I also agree with the others about not asking her if shes into that. That could definitely be insulting.

For me, I make a fairly decent living, but I purposely dont throw a lot of money around with women Im dating because I want to make sure they like me for me and not anything material.
