CandeeIP Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 (edited) I did almost exactly the same thing this member did http://www.loveshack.org/forums/mind-body-soul/abuse/383028-i-yelled-spat-my-gf-feel-bad. To whoever that OP is, my bf is upset with me still (the same way your gf is reacting) and won't even answer my call. Interesting, this sounds like similar to my story. Here I am trying to get him to talk to me again. I was thinking he would get over it by now. I don't see what's the big deal. I was drunk and it's not like I'm a criminal or something. The only difference is this was really a drunken argument and this isn't really my sober self. Yes, it shouldn't have gone this far but it did. Even after 2 days later, he's still upset. This is the only message I've received from him. Would you like it if I spat on your face? Do you realize how people would have reacted and what crap they would be talking about me? I left because that's all I could do. What else was I suppose to do? Spit back/yelled and look like a complete douche-bag? Hurt you and look like a lowlife and have others beat the living hell out of me? You don't do that not even to your worst enemy. I would have rather taken a slap or punch from you than get spat on. chelsea2011 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Your bf's response was extremely mature to be honest. It means he cares enough about himself to not allow you to get away with treating him that way. He has self respect. Spitting on someone is one of THE lowest things you can do. Its disgusting. You are going to have to chalk this up as a lesson learned and move on. Maybe go to a therapist to learn how to control your anger. 1
troubadour Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 (edited) Sober or drunk.... one must be a real POS to do something like this. It's despicable. Edited April 8, 2013 by troubadour
ThatJustHappened Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I have to agree with the above posters. I don't blame him for walking away from you. I also think you should seek therapy. It's demeaning and disgusting. If you're so drunk that you can't control your actions and you end up spitting on someone, that's a problem. Perhaps you should stop drinking as well.
Keenly Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Alcohol is never an excuse. People don't do anything drunk that they are not capable of doing while sober.
