Emilia Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Does anyone have experience of working in this relatively new, upcoming discipline?
TaraMaiden Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 I doubt anyone in the USA can respond to this: They still use leeches and hot-cupping.... (That was a joke, people.....) I'm struggling, myself. The innovation was launched in Cambridge, (UK) in 2000, so it's extremely new. What do you feel about it?
Author Emilia Posted April 7, 2013 Author Posted April 7, 2013 I doubt anyone in the USA can respond to this: They still use leeches and hot-cupping.... (That was a joke, people.....) They will love you for it I'm struggling, myself. The innovation was launched in Cambridge, (UK) in 2000, so it's extremely new. What do you feel about it? Curious. I have a job interview next Wednesday and curious to hear views about it. I worked in healthcare very briefly as an Analyst but it really isn't my field, this is an interview with a Digital Healthcare Agency and I find what I have read quite interesting so far. Do you like it? What do you mean by struggling?
TaraMaiden Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 (edited) I am the least technological person you are ever likely to meet. When it comes to matters of this nature, I have to confess, my eyes cloud over. I'm not even sure what the major point is. I'm trying to read the Wiki Article I found, and honestly, I'm trying to focus, but I do better with words of two syllables or less.... ! Tried ploughing my way through this too... but I'm not waving but drowning....! Is it essentially connecting all the dots between different remedies, practices, therapies and treatments to give patients a fuller blend of available help? Edited April 7, 2013 by TaraMaiden 1
Author Emilia Posted April 8, 2013 Author Posted April 8, 2013 Haha thanks TM, I know what you mean of connecting dots and I think that's the main principle. Some seem to take it further, I think the company that's going to interview me have been involved in 'nudging' - ie subtle influencing of undesirable behaviour. This is what makes me curious. Publishing stuff on Twitter to use social media not so much.
