simplybrill Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 so lonely ho hum, anyone else in my boat? I thought I had a lead, but that ended up being a dead end and now Im back to square one all over again.
tokyo Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Hey, come on. It´s not that bad I feel like that, too, sometimes. I don´t really believe in God, but I think there´s a reason when you are alone, call it destiny or providence or whatever, it´s not nice, but you can make the best out of it. Work on yourself, so you will be worth it when you find the perfect guy Good luck
lioness Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Yup - square one. I feel your pain. But I'm spending time getting to know myself better, or something like that.
Author simplybrill Posted September 14, 2004 Author Posted September 14, 2004 I haaave been working on it ,and I ammm worth it! Its just like, where's the guys?! Its very discouraging.haha all this work and no play! There must be some sense of balance in the universe, come on!
LittleMiss Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 I feel ya! I feel lonely all the time. Everyone keeps telling me that I'm young and I'll find someone that will make me happy. I have honestly had thoughts that I'm going to be alone for the rest of my life. I think the same thing "Where are the guys?" at least the "good" ones. I mean where am I supposed to meet someone. I live in a small town and there is not much to do. When I do go out to a club or whatever there are just a bunch of guys looking for one-nighters. Where is a girl supposed to meet a really nice guy. Not at work. They're all married and I did the MM thing, that was a bad idea I know. Any one have ideas?

I haven't given up hope! There is someone out there for all of us!
tokyo Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Ok, as we are all very frustrated gals: *great men are ugly *good-looking men are not great *good-looking great men are gay *good-looking great and straight men are married *not so good-looking men, but who are great don´t have money *not so good-looking men, but great and with money think we want their money *good-looking men without money depend on our money *good-looking, but not so great and sufficiently straight men don´t think we are good-looking enough *men who think we are sufficiently good-looking, fairly great and have money are casanovas *men who are sufficiently good-looking and fairly great and have some money are shy and never take the initiative *men who never take the initiative lose their interest as soon as we take the initiative.... (Excuse my humble translation... )

And there are nothing but losers there. They either have no job and are daddies to too many children they don't support or they are too busy doing drugs.
Author simplybrill Posted September 14, 2004 Author Posted September 14, 2004 tried online dating yet? I know, its a stretch- but maybe you'd get some better quality guys since the pickings are slim there.
tokyo Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 I need the name of the town so I will recognize it!!! (Just kidding I´m far away from Texas )
LittleMiss Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Has anyone in here had any luck with online dating? I'm reluctant to try it because I'm afraid to get a weirdo after me or soemthing like that.
aFighter Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 At least when you're alone no one can make a fool out of you. right? Personally, I've lost the will to be with anyone, just not worth it.
tokyo Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 How about fastdating? Pro: you save time, you meet a lot of singles, you actually see them, Contra: you must pay probably I have never tried it, don´t ask me for details.
cateinaus Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 That was a good one Kooky and quite right! I just sent it to my email pal in the USA.
Author simplybrill Posted September 15, 2004 Author Posted September 15, 2004 speed dating huh, thats an idea. That's one instance where I wish I lived in NYC...so much to do, and you're less likely to bump into your ex in such a big city, no? THATS what we should all do, just move THERE haha.
tokyo Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 San Francisco has many good-looking men Many are probably gay... *sigh* They are too good to be true....
LittleMiss Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Yeah, I need to move! I guess that's my only option. Or else............I become a lesbian....but women are too complicated!
