Something occured to me today, I generally havent listened to much music since the break up, I think this has had a detrimental effect as going home to silence encorages my mind to wonder, often to my ex.

A funny story though after the break up I went to buy a cd and found myself going straight to my ex's type of music, I had no idea what I liked to listen to anymore, it was somewhat of a wake up call of how deep I had lost myself in her!

Anyway would love to hear what music takes your mind off your ex and if it has helped and is it uplifting / liberating to listen to it.

I dont let my ex own the good music that we shared, that's how i view music....music is for the soul you cant lay claim to it, sad songs are an expression of emotive reasoning, all music you can wallow or use to move on....i choose it to move on, to feel positive, to appreciate the beauty in the score and the lyrics.........music talks to my soul and i love that about music....i have always loved music.......its gods gift for everyone, through voice spirit and heart.......wasnt a dj for nothing........wasa dj with an extensive music collection before my ex and now i just appreciate all styles adn still have an extensive ear.......he cant lay claim to songs....nor can i relate songs purely to him..and i dotn lay claim to songs....i liek to share.they werent written just for him or for me ...written to b eappreciated by everyone and relatABLE TO ALL....the songs he gave me ,make me believe i can be loved again...and when i do its going to be real and mutual
