Divasu Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I think I got a crush on Divasu... hey now! Thank you, that's very sweet. I think the longest crush I had on someone was for a year and eventually we turned the crush into sweet wine.
JuneJulySeptember Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 LOL, crushes from afar. It's kind of hard to end up in a relationship with somebody you never talk to. The last crush I had of that type was back when I was 16. From 18 to 30, all my crushes were on girls that I was actual friends with, or at least spoke to on a regular basis. Looking back I had crushes on eight girls that were my friends. They all turned me down. The rest were acquaintances. I dunno if I would call that a crush. When I really know a gal, I don't call it a crush. It's just liking her. You kinda know their inner workings and are familiar with them as people, taking away the mystique. When they reject me, it's more like, "Yea, they know me, and they like me, I'm just not good looking enough." To me, a crush leaves a lot to the imagination. You imagine what that person might be like even though you have limited contact. Even so, when I was younger I used to get pretty bent out of shape over getting rejected by crushes.

If they weren't crushes then what were they? Infatuations? That's exactly the same thing. It basically is, I really like girl for a long period of time and she's always on my mind. That's what I call a crush.
JuneJulySeptember Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 If they weren't crushes then what were they? Liking a woman for who she is? Let's see. You like them as a person. They like you as a person. Sounds closer to a relationship than a crush. 1

Noproblem Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I have no idea who that is. His show is not that famous, but it's really good Grimm | NBC It's not for girls or stuffs It deals with super natural things plus crime; also a little bit drama, and it has its fun moment You should watch it, if you have time, But yeah I say this to anyone I know; I understand many guys don't even like TV 1

JuneJulySeptember Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 He is awesome, isn't he I'd say if I looked like that guy that 90-95% of the women who have rejected me would have dated or hooked up with me. Awesome, indeed! BTW, I have no idea who he is, nor have I ever seen the show. 3
ses Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I have a girl crush on Chanel Iman (a VS Angel). She's beautiful. Celebrity Fashion: Chanel Iman's Style 2
ses Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Leonardo, how I liked him after Titanic! I remember how adorable he looked in "Man in the Iron Mask" and "Romeo + Juliet." Was I jealous of Claire Danes...he was in her bedroom, and was wounded. Leo is pretty awesome. 3
KungFuJoe Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Ahhh...crushes. I still remember pretty much every big crush I ever had. I'm not talking if I just happened to like someone...I'm talking daydreaming about them at night and just feeling like I was on cloud nine whenever I was with them. When I was in 3rd grade, I had a big crush on this cute Mexican girl that sat next to me. Still remember her name...Blanca. We would always get in trouble for talking together and everyone knew I liked her (I was pretty obvious) and I think she liked me back but she was really shy. People used to tease us and ask us when the wedding was gonna be...heh...of course I would get mad, but inside I loved it. Second big crush I had was with a high school friend of mine. She was one of the "cool" girls in school...sexy but bitchy looking...she definitely had an edge and was one of the girls no one effed with. She was some exotic mix of black, guayanian, indian, white, and probably some other stuff I've forgotten by now. I didn't like her at first, but the more we hung out, the more I started to like her until I had a pretty decent crush going. I think she knew I liked her because she would tease me sometimes...playing with my hair, rubbing my leg to distract me if I was doing something...staring at me knowing I would always break the stare first and then laughing in her cute, but sexy way. She moved away after the summer we graduated, but eventually came back, we reunited and are still friends today, even though she moved again and lives across the country. And then the biggest crush I ever had in my life. I was leaving basketball practice one day and saw her waiting by the gym door. Normally, I would head straight home after practice, but I just had to get close to her, so I pretended to hang around for some reason. She came up to me and offered me some of her Jelly Belly jelly beans. I remember this surreal feeling as we started to talk...about stuff I don't remember because I was having an out of body experience. She was SOOOO cute and those eyes and the way she carried herself. I was awestruck. I didn't even know her name or antyhing about her and I would literally dream about her being my girlfriend while I slept and I would wake up absolutely depressed knowing it was just a dream. I would look for her in the halls, but she was younger and ran with a different crowd. But, on two occasions, we bumped into each other and I remember the first time she touched me. I said something to make her laugh and she put her fingers on my lips to shush me. Wow. Another time she snuck up behind me, put her hands over my eyes and did the "Guess who!". Oh, I knew exactly who it was. But, I thought she was way out of my league, and so I never approached her or anything like that. Alas, school ended, I graduated...and I left thinking I would never see her again. But, I looked her up in the yearbook and found out her name. I never forgot her...even mentioning her to my eventual gf years later. But, as fate would have it, our paths crossed again years later, I found out she also had a crush on me in high school, never forgot me either, and a VERY long story later...we are now married and have a family together. And if you've read any of my posts, you know how awesome our lives have been since we finally ended up together. I do believe that the crushes we had on each in high school helps keep our love strong. Hard to explain, but I think when you get older, you get a bit more jaded, more cynical, and less prone to the absolute "pure" crushes you had when you were young and naive. But, it's like we still look at each other and remember how we felt back in high school and how crazy it is that we ended up together. Makes our lives together that much more "special". 2

I didn't really read your first crush, but the other story caught my eyes and oh my god I almost cried thinking you never met her again, but yeah I'm so happy for you two; awesome crush and awesome story Kinda gives others hope
Archgirl Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 My crush is a married woman with a child. Greatest woman I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Unfortunately, I can't do anything. Why don't you start a thread about it...wait...nevermind... 1
Giraffe1 Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I love having crushes it makes life more interesting. Unfortunately no crush at the moment :-( 1
Archgirl Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Why dont you girls make your feelings more obvious if you genuinely like a dude? Mostly because that would be less fun :bunny: I realise that makes me a terrible heart-stealing hussy. But it's cool, I'm ok with that
ses Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Walls or ceiling? Walls, baby. I actually have 2 posters still up; one directly above my bed, and the other near my desk. The first one depicts Jack and Rose in the freezing waters as they profess their love for one another; the second is of Rose looking at Jack after he famously drew her. I also had a poster of the "Jack, I'm flying scene." I've probably watched the movie a million times and still love it and the soundtrack. Jack Horner is a genius. I guess it still strikes a chord with me because I saw it with my mother as a child when I lived abroad. She lives in a foreign country and I only see her once a year. It has sentimental value attached. 2
truth_seeker Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Hahaha! Guilty! *puts hand up* Less interested/meaner I act the more I am am. Men take notes! Cheers to Archgirl for being honest.
tuxedo cat Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 (edited) Have dated a few of my crushes and my experience has consistently been that they always turn out very different from how you imagine them to be from a distance: sometimes better, sometimes worse, sometimes just different. I think a lot of people don't end up dating their crushes because they lurk in the shadows and never make a move. If you're a woman the odds are in your favor, assuming he's not taken. You can be bold and make a move or you can even just flirt. Just do something to show him you are interested and you are likely to have success. Edited April 5, 2013 by tuxedo cat 1
