Trying to figure this out?

[IS IT Better late]

So I'm 35 yrs old and I've never been dumped before so this is been tough. I still don't completely understand it and she's still sending mixed signals even after she told me she's "too busy" and can't commit to a relationship.

 

So we dated for nearly 5-months Sept 2012 to Feb 2013. She chased me for the first 3- months. She was always trying to get closer to me and then when I finally let her in she pulled away. And then I was on the chase the last 2-months. She will be 30 yrs old and is legit busy but I know she was BSing me at the end. Everything was all good, we hung once a week, everything was going just fine. We always had a great time together, no fights, just fun stuff! On New Years Eve I asked her if we should try to hangout more often and she agreed. But not more than a week later she started to become distant. Cancelled a date on me for the first time. As Jan went on she kept complaining about how busy she it between work/school/internship and she has a side job working for a professor doing research. Bottom line is she became more difficult to hang out with. We still did see each other a few more times including Valentines day. Always a fun time!

 

She once again got cold and distant after V-day, less texting, less talking and I asked what's up and we had an emotional conversation in which she told me being in relationship is not a priority and didn't want to mislead me. So when asked her about never seeing me again or talking to me again are you ok with that she said " I don't think so". Anyway we had a few days of NC and she texted me to see how I was doing. Long story short we've had some texting since that day and she sends mixed signal. I did ask her once if she wants to meet up and she still hit me the same too busy BS. I've been pulling away from contact from her over the last 3-weeks but she has texted me a couple of times since then. I did respond b/c I don't like playing bs not replying games.

 

So I'm just trying figure if I should cut my losses and move on. Or is this chick still interested? I still have strong feeling for her and it's been very difficult to stay away from her b/c I miss her in every way a dude misses a chick he was really into.

 

Any similar situations out there? And advice to either move on or get her back? I don't want to be in the middle anymore.
