Hey all,

What, in your words, is the difference between the honeymoon stage of a relationship (ie. that first few new and exciting few months) and the rest of the relationship, post honeymoon stage?

I think I am stuck in a false conception about what a relationship is supposed to be. I always had the feeling, previously, that the honeymoon stage would be what lasted forever and that you would always get those exciting tingles. I'm just looking for your opinion on what the "main" part of the relationship post-honeymoon stage is like.

That "main" honeymoon stage is the general feeling of happiness you get from the sense of security that you will have because you know this person is "yours" and there is nothing to worry about as far as that is concerned.

As much as everyone would like, that initial honeymoon stage cannot last forever. But you can always do new and exciting things in a relationship which will make it seem like everything else is new, including being with that person.
