And some of them charge you a "trying on fee".... which is "refundable" if you buy the dress there.

Sorry I have NEVER encountered that.

Its pretty common where I live- esp at the higher end stores. Started being more common around 5 years ago.

Gorgeous dresses so far. Hopefully we'll see yours too KraftDinner (hint, hint...:))

If you pick Jamaica, consider staying in Negril instead. Gorgeous beaches. Lots of watersports. Cliff diving if you're into adrenaline rushes. Certainly not as crowded as Montego Bay. More couple-oriented, whereas families and kids tend to stay in either Montego or Ocho Rios.

Yep, Nyla, I think I've picked a dress and it is pretty inexpensive!

But cute. When I find a good pic of it online, I'll post it.

Incidentally, I'll be 40 when I get married and believe me...I care about my wedding! :D Haha!

I used to think that when I was older I wouldn't care about things like my looks or weight but I haven't changed at all in that regard; I still care!

Btw, current frontrunner for the destination wedding: Jamaica! Who knows if that will end up being the winner, but for now I'm pretty excited about Montego Bay!

Oh, Negril -- good tip, thanks!

I ordered the dress I mentioned! I tried it on and it's very flattering.

I can NOT find a pic of it online, except one in purple that has been shortened by about 8 inches! Not a good representation, ugh!
