the_entertainer1 Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 I've been on 5 dates with a guy over the last 5 weeks or so. We have a lot in common and have a good time together. He hasn't kissed me yet - though he told me he hasn't had any relationship experience before, and I'm beginning to think that he hasn't even kissed a girl before. Our date venues/activities have mostly involved food and drink: - coffee shop - the theatre, followed by drinks and dancing - lunch & St Patrick's Day festivities - dinner, drinks and dessert with his friend and his friend's girlfriend. - dinner, drive and coffee I don't mind the fact that he's not rushing things, but I'm also a bit disappointed that he hasn't kissed me yet. I might have to take the plunge (though I'd really rather not). Can you give me any suggestions for date ideas that involve less food and drink? (lol) And any that might create a more 'romantic' atmosphere? The last two dates have felt like there opportunities for a kiss, but nothing eventuated ...
Author the_entertainer1 Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 Seriously? Surely you guys have got some ideas. Please?
bu2002 Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Wait, so you he's already introduced to you to a friend of his, but hasn't kissed you? That's really odd to me. 5 dates is a long time and a lot of hours to spend together with no kiss. He's clearly inexperienced. Have you held hands at least? If not, then next time when you're walking together or ending a date, if there's a walk involved, place your left arm in lock with his right arm and slowly move your hands to down to his to lock together. When you say goodbyes, give him a hug around the neck and place your face close to his, and then look him dead in the eye and hold your eye contact and lean in.
StanMusial Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Why do you want to avoid food and drink? I would suggest a crowded club where you are jammed together and tipsy. Maybe yours and his lips will accidently touch together.

Lol - I like food and drink, but it just seemes that most of our dates have revolved around that. Just looking for something different - I think I'm eating too much (says a woman with a healthy appetite!)
